All ready for the start of the Rally Príncipe
Throughout the whole day the entrants of the 49 Rally Príncipe de Asturias are carrying out the recce of the different stages to be run this weekend on the road of Asturias.
After the administrative scrutineering, held yesterday for most drivers who also collected all the related documents, the organizers are now ready for the start tomorrow, Friday, first thing in the morning, of the technical scrutineering which is to be carried out in the Oviedo Sport Palace, a preview of the event that can be followed by the fans from the grandstands.
From 18:00 the ceremonial start will take place at the ‘Paseo del Bombé’ at the ‘Campo San Francisco’ in Oviedo while the special stages begin at 10:40 with the first run through ‘Morcín’ followed by a run through ‘Corvera’ and then another at ‘Morcín’ to complete the first day of the rally where there will also be a regrouping near the service park at 21:55.
On Saturday eight more special stages will take place with two runs at Gijón and three each at the Villaviciosa – Colunga and Nava stages. There will also be two regroupings, at 11:31 in ‘Grúas Roxu’ and at 15:15 in Nava, as well as the service park ‘Real Oviedo’ within the facilities of the Carlos Tartiere Stadium parking in Oviedo from 12:15.
The rally will finish with the Prize Giving ceremony at the arrival podium, located in the Paseo del Bombé, from 19:15.
The organizers want to remind all the fans that the best way to help is to watch the rally from high vantage points, outside the forbidden areas and following the advice from the safety caravan and the police.
