2010 Event
Turkey's oldest rally, was organised on all gravel stages around Istanbul and Kocaeli roads. Rally, was counting for three different championships: FIA ERC, national and historic championships.
Official start ceremony was held in the middle of famous Bagdat Street, where thousands of spectators gathered. The star driver of the event was Luca Rosetti, who also won the event two years ago. Italian driver, on the wheel of Grande Punto S2000, took the lead on SS2 and never looked back. Rosetti scored 10 best-times out of 16 specal stages, had a commanding lead over his Turkish rivals from second special stage onwards. He won the event, 1 minute in front of Yagiz Avci.
Reigning Turkish rally champion Yagiz Avci, who competed on behalf of Ford with a Fiesta S2000, followed Rosetti for the whole event and finished the event in 2nd place, just like last year. Former four-times Turkish champion Serkan Yazici was last driver on the podium. Total 16 crews, out of 32, reached finish ceremony of the rally, which was covering total of 770 kilometers.
2011 Route
Most of the 2010 route will be unchanged, as we received very good comments in previous years concerning the smooth gravel and character of the stages. Drivers will compete on 16 special stages of both Istanbul and Kocaeli during two days. Some of the stages will be same as WRC Rally of Turkey event of 2010.
Compact route will also help the competitors in terms of cost, as it will be possible to complete reconnaissance on one day. We are ready to help foreign drivers or guests for custom procedures and reasonable priced accommodation in 5-star Rally HQ hotel. Let's meet in wonderful Istanbul and feel the adrenaline of ERC.
