History and natural beauty

History and natural beauty of the region

The Rally is run in the province of Brescia, one of the most interesting areas of Northern Italy. Near to the mountains (many skiing resorts are within one hour by car) , the area is surrounded by three lakes (Garda, Iseo and Idro) internationally known as holiday resorts from spring to autumn for bathing, sailing and surfing.

Brescia - the Roman Brixia - is near to some of the most interesting towns of Northern Italy, such as Milano (90 km.), Bergamo (50 km.), Verona (60 km.) and Mantova (75 km.). The province is also world-wide known for the excellent wines (red, white and sparkling) produced in Franciacorta.
